Samsung scores Google’s next Nexus smartphone

If Google is to live up to its own tradition of releasing one Nexus phone every year, the new Nexus release should not be too far away. Its current Nexus model, the Galaxy Nexus, was released in November 2011.

According to information sources, newly crowned world’s top mobile phone vendor Samsung has yet again secured the contract to develop Google’s upcoming Nexus device owing to its innovation and extensive experience of Android operating system.

    I sincerely hope that isn’t the case.
    Samsung has had its time in the spotlight, and one of the goals of the nexus line is to force OEMs to push the envelope, to make a great device for developers and enthusiasts. At this point I think Sam’s getting lazy. The recipe for their next nexus will be latest GS + stock android – buttons, downgrade the camera and ship it.

    They need to be made to EARN the nexus.
