In the ongoing battle of Samsung vs. Apple, the latest victory goes to Apple. Judge Marina Tavassi of Tribunale di Malano rejected Samsung’s request to ban sales of the iPhone 4S in Italy. There was a similar outcome in France a week ago. Samsung claims that the Apple iPhone 4S infringes on two of the company’s wireless communication patents, including one that is the use of Wideband Code Division Multiple Access, also known as WCDMA, standard in 3G devices.
