There is some good news for Nokia fans out there as the Finnish manufacturer has leaked four new Lumia series phones on its RDA service.
Remote Device Access (RDA) is a tool provided by Nokia to developers for testing apps on different Nokia phones. The process involves connecting to the phones (through a normal browser) remotely, as this saves developers the hassle of getting their hands on individual phones.
Developers uncovered some interesting information last week while carrying out their routine app testing on the RDA tool. At least four new and unannounced smartphones of the Lumia series were detected by the online RDA tool. These are – Lumia 910, Lumia 920, Lumia 950 and Lumia 1001.
According to GSMArena, the model number of Nokia Lumia 1001 depicts a significant jump and that the model might suggest a Windows Phone 8 device or even a tablet. Apart from the Lumia models, there were two other phones that were spotted on RDA’s Bluetooth near-by list: Nokia 510 and Nokia Belle 805.
Whether these are actual phones or not, only time will tell. As GSMArena wisely points out:
Given the hype surrounding the RDA tool since yesterday, it might as well be a case of other devs messing with the available test units to display fake Bluetooth IDs.
