Kathy Huberty, an analyst at Morgan Stanley made predictions that Apple will have a strong year and that the company will sell 100 million iPhones and 40 million iPads. She recently visited the Cupertino based supply chain and increased her initial predictions of 72 million iPhones and 30 million iPads.
So why the sudden increase in predictions, especially if her initial predictions were above other sales estimates? The CDMA version of the iPhone had a part to play. This increases the possibility of sales in China, something that wasn’t in the prediction calculations early on.
